Spider, Facial, and Leg Veins

Facial Veins is a skin condition treated by Gardner Dermatology and Med Spa50 to 55 percent of women and 40 to 45 percent of men suffer from some type of vein problem. There are different types of veins and for each of these there are also different treatment options.

Spider Veins commonly appear on the surface of the thighs, calves or ankles and are red, purple or blue. These are sometimes called roadmap veins because of their appearance. Telangiectasias, or facial spider veins are usually found on the nose and cheeks. They are tiny, superficial blood vessels that usually increase in size over time. Hereditary accounts for 80% of people who develop spider veins but workers who stand regularly in their job are more susceptible to develop them. Spider veins are usually treated for cosmetic reasons with Sclerotherapy injections and/or V-Beam or Intense Pulsed Light.

If you have unwanted veins and are considering treatment options, call Gardner Dermatology & Med Spa to schedule a consultation. Cosmetic consultations with our Licensed Aestheticians/Certified Laser Technicians are free and can answer all your questions about cosmetic vein treatment.
