When the Diagnosis is Psoriasis, the Treatment is Clear. XTRAC.

XTRAC® is the only FDA-cleared, clinically proven excimer laser that gets skin clear of psoriasis—and it works fast, with many patients seeing significant improvement and long-lasting remissions. Because XTRAC delivers a highly targeted, therapeutic beam of UVB light only to areas of the skin affected by psoriasis, healthy skin surrounding the lesions stays that way. XTRAC clears the symptoms, prolongs the remission and returns skin to a clinically healthy state in record time. All of which means XTRAC delivers consistently predictable results so patients experience more good days ... Read Full Story >>

Nearly 30 million people tan indoors

Nearly 30 million people tan indoors in the US annually, and 71 percent of tanning salon patrons are girls and women aged 16-29. This presents a serious health problem because people who first use tanning beds before age 35 have a 75 percent increase in their lifetime risk of developing melanoma. Furthermore, indoor tanners are 2.5 times more likely to develop squamous cell carcinoma, and 1.5 times more likely to develop basal cell carcinoma. http://www.skincancer.org/prevention/tanning/like-mother-like-daughter-indoor-tanning-with-mom-sets-a-dangerous-precedent#.T6aDhHMcIRI.facebook
