Laser Hair Removal
Laser Hair Removal is among the most commonly performed cosmetic procedures in the U.S. Are you tired of shaving, razor bumps, nicks and cuts? Sick of waxing, irritating depilatory creams, the pain of plucking, tweezing or electrolysis? Are you ready for a more permanent solution?
Laser Hair Removal works by targeting beams of highly concentrated light to penetrate the hair follicle and destroy the hair within the follicle.
Don't settle for out of date solutions for hair removal. At Gardner Dermatology & Med Spa, we use only the most advanced, state-of-the-art lasers available to deliver the results you want safely and effectively. To ensure you receive the best results, we have multiple lasers designed specifically for your skin type. At Gardner Dermatology & Med Spa, you can feel secure knowing that you are getting the safest, most state-of-the-art treatment.
Do your homework when it comes to lasers. Not all lasers are created equally. At Gardner Dermatology & Med Spa, we have invested in the latest, most advanced lasers, which enable us to treat all skin types effectively. Many spas have all-in-one lasers, such as, one laser that treats veins, wrinkles, sun spots, and unwanted hair, because this costs less than buying multiple lasers. These tend to be less effective than lasers engineered for one specific condition, skin type, or concern. We believe in offering the fastest, most cost effective, dramatic results for our patients, and will not sacrifice quality. For that reason, in our office, you will see possibly three or more separate lasers for hair removal, three or more for veins, and so on.
Call Gardner Dermatology & Med Spa to schedule your Laser Hair Removal treatment and see why this is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures in the U.S. You will ask yourself why you didn't do it a long time ago like many of our patients!
Laser Hair Removal is also a treatment for Razor Bumps.
Pseudofolliculitis barbae (razor bumps), is a common condition of a closely shaved area that commonly occurs in people with thick curly hair. The problem results when highly curved hairs grow back into the skin causing inflammation and a foreign body reaction. Over time, this can cause keloid scarring which looks like hard bumps. Shaving sharpens the ends of the hairs like a spear. The hairs then curve back into the skin causing pseudofolliculitis barbae. Laser Hair Removal is a very effective treatment for this condition.
