STAGE 1: Initial Consultation

Tailoring a rejuvenation program that works best for you is dependent upon knowing your skin history. Assessing your skin type, age, and past and present skin conditions are important to developing a skin rejuvenation program designed especially for you.

In selecting specific Glytone® products, our medical staff will take into account your skin history and your expectations. The real beauty of the Glytone® Skin Rejuvenation System is that the products are formulated in several strengths. You begin with a program that works as gently or rapidly as you desire.

And, as your skin grows accustomed to the glycolic acid, you can graduate to higher strength products to maximize the rejuvenating effects.

STAGE 2: The In-Office Facial Peel

Your Glytone® Skin Rejuvenation program most often begins with a facial peel in our office. What we learned in the initial consultation helps establish the timing between facial peels and the strength of products used—for example, whether to use Glytone® Rejuvenating Gels (more gentle) or Rejuvenating Pads (more aggressive).

It is not unusual to experience a tingling sensation, a slight stinging or mild redness lasting for several minutes. This is how a peel works, dissolving the chemical bonds to release the dead cells from the skin's outermost layer. Each person's tolerance for this sensation is different. Those wanting a more aggressive schedule will experience some irritation and redness. Those choosing more time between visits and milder formulations, naturally, will experience less or none. The initial consultation with our medical staff will help us select the best schedule for you. We will set a schedule that can be gentle or aggressive or anywhere in between.
